‘The end of the road for Barack Obama?’
ObamaNation piece by OffSite (3/9/10)
It is a universal political truth that administrations do not begin to fragment when things are going well: it only happens when they go badly, and those who think they know better begin to attack those who manifestly do not. The descent of Barack Obama’s regime, characterised now by factionalism in the Democratic Party and talk of his being set to emulate Jimmy Carter as a one-term president, has been swift and precipitate. It was just 16 months ago that weeping men and women celebrated his victory over John McCain in the American presidential election. If they weep now, a year and six weeks into his rule, it is for different reasons.

Love And Hate Of America
ObamaNation piece by Leon A. Weinstein (3/8/10)
It is my personal opinion that President Obama and his inner circle hate America. I am not talking about landscapes and folk songs. Those they might love. But they dislike what America represents and has been for the last two centuries. I love in America exactly what Obama hates. In other words Obama hates MY America. I also do not like some things here, but I would emigrate here even if the weather everywhere in this country was like in Chicago. I emigrated to and loved this country because this country cherishes each individual more than it cherishes the state. It is quite difficult to understand for Europeans, Asians or Africans who grew to believe that a beehive is more important than a single bee. In America the bee is more important. I love this country because it didn’t demand anything from me. Because I didn’t have to sing hymns to any leader or movement or fate. Because words “do not ask what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country” were wonderful colorful and inspiring… words. I have heard same words from the Soviet Leaders and every socialist organizer that ever was.

Down With the Count
Big Brother piece by Thomas Lindaman (2/26/10)
Complete the Census or else? - There are a number of ways to get people to do something that needs to be done. In some cases, it’s easy as asking. When things are important, you can either appeal to a person’s sense of duty or use less savory methods, like being stuck in the back seat of a compact car between Michael Moore and Rosie O’Donnell. And, believe me, you don’t want to know how they got back there.

Accelerating the Speed of Lies
Information Police piece by Alan Caruba (2/25/10)
“In the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie...”

Pass a test - then you can vote
Elections piece by OffSite (2/25/10)
We the Ignorant let our countrymen know that the people alone can protect us against these evils [of monarchial government]. - Thomas Jefferson—It’s time someone had the guts to say it, and my friend Tom Tancredo did just that at the tea-party convention in Nashville. The problems in this country will never be solved by registering more voters. Our problems will be solved by registering more informed voters.

Republicrats piece by OffSite (2/25/10)
This is intending to fail. ... - Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., Feb. 19, on President Obama’s spending policies—As conservatives rode high on the afterglow of last week’s wildly successful CPAC convention, which galvanized and fired the hopes of millions of their number across America, some commentators and Republican lawmakers continued to admonish President Obama to cut spending and taxes in a real effort to turn the economy around, as opposed to what he is currently doing.

Liberals Never Learn
Bird-Brain Flu piece by Alan Burkhart (2/21/10)
There is an old saying that goes thusly: “It is a form of insanity to keep doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result.” Or as I prefer it, “If you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keeping getting what you’ve always got.”

Not Your Father’s Army
Military piece by Chuck Baldwin (2/5/10)
Most of us Americans have a deep and abiding respect and admiration for our country’s fighting men who have served--and are serving--within the US Armed Forces. We appreciate their willingness to put themselves in harm’s way for the preservation of our nation’s liberty and independence. We honor their sacrifice. Indeed, many of us share that sacrifice with the deaths, dismemberments, and paralysis of our most cherished loved ones who were killed or injured in the line of duty.

A year in, Israel still lacks a friend in the White House
Foreign Policy piece by Ari Kaufman (1/30/10)
As I have recently written on these pages, every time Mr. Obama speaks, I pray for him to say the right things. I do this because as an American, I fear for my country and my family; but as a Jew, I worry for my religion, and especially the United States’ prime ally against terror: Israel.

Preventing “Moderates” From Hijacking The Massachusetts Election
Republicrats piece by Christopher G. Adamo (1/29/10)
Scott Brown’s stunning victory in Massachusetts has predictably generated comparisons of the current political landscape to 1994, when Republicans swept the mid-term elections, propelling them to majority status in both houses of Congress. From local and state level offices all the way to Washington, Democrats suffered severe losses, while not a single incumbent Republican in any congressional or gubernatorial race was defeated.
Obama: My Totalitarian State Must be Established
ObamaNation piece by Sher Zieve (1/29/10)
In order to establish his Totalitarian Utopia--a utopia that is a “perfect state” for only the ruling elite and the ‘masses’ find it to be only a nightmarish existence--the Tyrant Barack Hussein Obama must shove his ObamaCare even more forcefully down the throats of the American people. Note: While he has effectively outlawed waterboarding (until the reign of Obama not determined “torture” by the laws of our land) for his terrorist compatriots, Obama is, with his blatantly anti-USA and anti-human policies, affecting almost daily torture sessions upon US citizens.
What Lesson Did Brown Teach Obama/Democrats? Apparently Pass Bad Stuff Faster
Demercrats piece by Warner Todd Huston (1/29/10)
Once Scott Brown took away the Democrat majority in the Senate by becoming the Republican’s 41st vote based in large part on the fact that Massachusetts voters were unhappy with Obamacare, one would think that President Obama and the Democrat Party would learn a vital lesson. A look at a dozen or so stories across the media over the last few days shows that the Democrats have indeed learned a lesson from Scott Brown’s victory. But is it the right lesson?
‘Have Liberals Lost Faith in The Anointed One?’Page 1 of 40 pages 1 2 3 > Last »
ObamaNation piece by Aaron Goldstein (1/29/10)
It was only a year ago that Barack Obama held liberals spellbound. His every word was taken as the gospel truth to power. But when Obama couldn’t convince Massachusetts voters to support Martha Coakley in last week’s election he managed to leave liberals in a dizzy spell. Obama wasn’t the Anointed One after all and out came the slings and arrows.
