Obama’s Domestic Violence Initiative: Hope, Hype, and Hogwash
Femi-Nazis piece by Carey Roberts (11/23/10)
Desperate times call for desperate measures. So shortly before the November 2 elections, Barack Obama pulled out all the stops to woo the fading female electorate, unveiling a multi-pronged effort to “end domestic violence against women,” as the president theatrically called it. But did the president’s 5-point initiative deliver on the goods?

Here is a smattering of imaginary news headlines from across the nation’s landscape of current events. Some might get you to crack a smile or bust out into a good belly laugh. Here is the odd thing, none of them were meant to be funny?

Bend Over and Experience 21st Century Air Travel
PoliceState piece by Michael R. Shannon (11/19/10)
Visiting grandma’s house is going to be a lot different this holiday season. Instead of “Grandma, what big teeth you have!” It’s going to be “G–man what cold hands you have!” as thousands of unsuspecting travelers undergo their first enhanced airport “pat–down” at the hands of TSA.
Watch the 2011 Elections
Election 2011 piece by Bruce Walker (11/19/10)
All eyes are focused now on November 2012. Will Republicans coalesce behind a principled conservative who can articulate the theme which resonated with voters in November 2010? Will new congressional districts, drawn by Republican state legislatures and reflecting a move away from Democrat parts of America into Flyover Country, lead to a bigger Republican majority in the House of Representatives? The Senate Class of 2012 will have 35 seats up for election. Twenty-three of those are held by Democrats; two are held by “independents” that caucus with Democrats; and only ten are held by Republicans. All of ten of those Republicans, except Scott Brown, come from Red or from very Red states – none, except perhaps Brown, has a chance of losing. Republicans, by contrast, stand to make big gains in the next two general elections.

The Tyrannical States Of America
PoliceState piece by OffSite (11/17/10)
Team America: World Police was a lame movie that became the butt of endless jokes almost immediately after its release. However, in our post-9/11 world, the joke seems to be on us, for as we look at the remains of our once-great nation, of our civil rights and individual liberties in the ash heap of 9/11, we’ve seen our government systematically strip us of our rights and enslave us to the point that hardly anybody is left who’s willing to draw a line in the sand and say, ‘Enough!’ What we now see is Team America: World Police replaced with Team Sexual Assault, and it’s not funny.

The Republic piece by Austin Miles (11/15/10)
MilesTones and TombStones—So what do good church people do with a winning lottery ticket purchased at a [Detroit] Porn Shop worth $129.million? What anyone with a sense of propriety would do since a Christian can’t even give the appearance of evil--have someone else pick up the winnings for you. Name That Party: Another Criminal Democrat Goes Unidentified by Old Media
Information Police piece by Warner Todd Huston (11/15/10)
Every now and again I like to play “name that party.” This is the fun parlor game where you read a story about a politician that has either been indicted, arrested, or imprisoned and try to guess by the story from which party he hails. If you read the story and no political party affiliation is mentioned, 99 out of 100 times you can be sure that the troubled pol is a Democrat. However, if it is a Republican that is going to jail or to court his party usually makes the first paragraph if not the headline itself.

Time to Leave No Child Left Behind, behind
Edukshun piece by Steve Farrell (11/12/10)
It has been said that the most effective way to conquer a man is to capture his mind. There is no slave more devoted, no disciple more dedicated than one who has become completely obsessed with the vision of what he considers to be a great idea.(1)

Dear 212th Congress
Congress piece by Doug Edelman (11/10/10)
The election of November 2 was a watershed moment. A strong message was sent from the people of America to those who walk the halls of power in this country. The question will be whether the message will be heard, comprehended, and assimilated into the heart, the head, and the hands of Congress. How will it affect their thinking? How will it affect their behavior?

NIA Projects Future U.S. Food Price Increases
Deflation/Inflation piece by OffSite (11/9/10)
November 5, 2010 - The National Inflation Association today announced the release of its report about NIA’s projections of future U.S. food price increases due to the massive monetary inflation being created by the Federal Reserve’s $600 billion quantitative easing. This report was written by NIA’s President Gerard Adams, who believes food inflation will take over in 2011 as America’s greatest crisis. According to Mr. Adams, making mortgage payments will soon be the last thing on the minds of all Americans. We currently have a currency crisis that could soon turn into hyperinflation and a complete societal collapse.

When one questions the greatest minds in astrophysics and cosmology (e.g., Albert Einstein, Steven Hawking) about finding a “Creator”, they could not propose a universe with no beginning, and found the task impossible. Show Me God(1) is a scientific account of the cosmos written by Fred Heeren, Science Journalist(2), pointing directly to (a) God.
The Republicans Don’t “Get It,” Either
Republicrats piece by J. D. Longstreet (11/8/10)
Over the weekend I watched some of the talking head shows on Sunday and I read a few syndicated columnists—and I have concluded, based on what I read and heard, that the Republicans don’t get it, either. When I say: “republicans,” I, of course, mean the “establishment” republicans.

The tea party’s next challenge
TEA Parties piece by OffSite (11/7/10)
Americans can do whatever they decide to do. Witness the politiscape littered with the careers of Democrats deposed by determined Americans who have had enough big-government socialism forced upon them. The next challenge for the tea party – and other organizations – is local and state governments that are systematically implementing freedom-robbing policies in the name of comprehensive planning, smart growth, sustainable development and environmental protection.

Following a political tsunami that gave control of the House of Representatives, increased GOP members of the U.S. Senate, and increased the number of Republican governors nationwide, President Barack Obama will be leaving the U.S. behind to schmooze with officials in a country that actually likes him.
