Moving Forward

Today we can celebrate and rejoice in the victory in Massachusetts and deservingly so, let us take in just what this means in changing the dynamics of the political landscape for years to come. This was a huge victory in the sense that Scott Brown understood that the position that he ran for was not a given right, he understood that the position as he has said was the “Peoples Seat” ; many that hold office in today’s government have lost touch with this fact and have lost touch with the very people that they represent and it is high time that they have this reminder.
This victory is just but one that was long overdue, the voice of the everyday citizen has been ignored repeatedly not only by those who currently sit in office at all levels but by those who have sat in office for many, many years. Yes this does send a clear message to career politicians that We The People are waking up and are willing to become involved in the governance of our country, but are they willing to listen and heed this message? That is yet to be seen because throughout 2009 in the one year that President Obama has been in office the Progressive agenda has been forced down the throats of the American citizen all the while we were out there saying that we reject all of these harmful policies and wasteful spending, we have spoke up and have said that we are tired of the backroom deals and closed door sessions; no longer will we sit idly by and not hold you accountable for the actions that you do while sitting in those seats because they do not belong to you they belong to us and yesterday was the first step in taking back those seats!
Yes we can celebrate today but let it be just for today, Senator Browns victory is just on battle in the larger picture and we have so many more to win. We have been called every name in the book by those in office that are supposed to be representing us, and what they fail to recognize is that if they would just listen to us instead of ignoring us they just might be able to retain the seats that they were placed in by us We The People but they have chosen not to and so in this year 2010 we are set on removing you from those seats, and you can continue to call us all the names that you feel that you need to because we are not backing down!
Mr. Reid , Mrs. Boxer take notice we are fed up with you looking down your noses on the American citizen, Mr. Frank please take notice this happened in your state and all of the past transgressions will not go unnoticed. These are just a few names and seats that need to be returned to the People!
So yes celebrate today, but don’t become over confident because these folks will not go into the sunset quietly nor without a fight and we need to continue the momentum that was felt with the election in Massachusetts throughout this election cycle and into the one in 2012. We need not only focus on the Federal level, we need to also focus on the local level as well because these positions directly affect our daily lives and they are all too often overlooked.
Become involved I for one am sick and tired of hearing from people that it does not matter and that we cannot change anything and that they will do whatever they want, well the Victory in Massachusetts proves that theory wrong and it is time that We The People take a stand and become involved because that is what the founding fathers originally envisioned but a thing we have forgotten for so long.
They are our Seats, they work for us not the other way around and today forward we need to remind them as such because since they ignored us we have decided that 2010 will be the year that we remind them by kicking them out of office. perseverance and fortitude my friends that is what we will need to have because they are banking on us to lose our will lets show them that we will not!
