Weekly Update

The Democrat Party is on the verge of a breakdown(1). The Obama/Hillary divide, the scandals and lack of leadership, are going to make November a cakewalk for America and the GOP. Thank goodness for America that the Democrats know how to lose elections and don’t understand what Real Americans desire: freedom and individualism.
Change??? Change what? Why? And How?
Barack Hussein Obama, who continues to slip badly in the polls, making November a lock for America and the Republican Party, did not impress me with his Tuesday speech about his horrible pastor. If you condemn someone, end the relationship. Obama did not do that. He was married by this man, had his children bapitzed by him, and enjoyed his hate for two decades. To me, that shows that Obama hardly disapproves. We know his wife approves. That Americans will vote for this man really scares me. He’s no leader. He had his chance to be a uniter and consistent but turned into a hypocrite. Jeff Jacoby did the best job of explaining why Obama was and is still wrong. The only supporters he has left are racist blacks, rich white guilt latte liberals, insouciant college fools and Chris Matthews, who obsequoiusly swooned over Obama as usual, calling it “a speech that every child should listen to in 1st grade, when they finish high school and when the graduate from college.” And you wonder why his ratings stink?
And yet, Barry Hussein Obama still fancies himself a uniter. Please.
If Mccain or Hillary had a white preacher spewing such hate, and they reacted this way, they’d have to step down ASAP and rightly so. We treat Hussein Obama differently, of course. There’s nothing easier in 2008 than being a black man, or multi-ethnic.
On the other hand, a 70 year old lefty friend, who fancies himself a moderate, but loves Obama, spewed this to me late last week. Keep in mind he lives in a 100% white, segregated, gated community on the ocean in Orange County and makes well over 250,000 per year:
Is it possible we didn’t hear the same speech? History will conclude that Obama’s March 18th speech was the first truly important speech of the 21st Century, regardless of how it does or doesn’t help him politically this year. Some people like me think it will be found in text books as the beginning of a much-needed new discourse and understanding of racism and how to help ease it out of our lives. Do not write me back. I do not wish to be bombarded by your opposing viewpoint. Suffice it so say it is expected but I have not the time, the inclination nor the patience to read or listen to it.
Liberal fascism at its finest. This man’s only “cultural experiences” are yearly trips to Hawaii, New York City and Paris, where he is right now. And too bad he’s never read Marc Steyn who nailed Obama as only Steyn can over the weekend. So much for post racial.
Meanwhile, I had emailed him originally to discuss (which he ignored) two liberal rags---The Atlantic and NPR---published pieces recently about the “warming.” Both were very confusing and hardly conclusive. Good to read, though, so al-Gore won’t.
On the other hand, say what you want, but President Bush IS a leader, a Uniter, and a sentient, admirable man---as is VP Cheney. His speech on Wednesday was factual, not that his detractors listen.
Misc
I awoke yesterday and this morning to snow in Central Indiana. Does global warming mean snow in late March at 39 degrees north latitude? Ok, sure. This argument has more holes than swiss cheese. ANY change in climate to them means crisis. Next thing you know they’ll tell us that seasons mean global warming. Give me a break. Terrorist want to kill us all, and these fools focus on natural weather patterns.
Today’s high here should be about 42 with sleet and wind. The temps in Indianapolis are not scheduled to hit 55 all week here in Indy. The average high in March here is supposed to be 54, and we have had maybe two days (of 24, my friends) that have hit even 53 here this month. It has not come close to 60, of course, and it IS the coldest winter since 2001 nationally, and the coldest winter folks can remember here in Central Indiana in decades.
How about we make al-Gore debate?We end this week’s Column with some tidbits:
The death toll that anti-war hatemongers love to update with glee for the (five year) Iraq portion of the War to Save Liberalism is now at 4,000 brave personnel. Al-AP, the liberal media here and internationally, the Islamic extremists and the American Left will celebrate in various ways. This is an incredibly miniscule number when fighting against a ruthless enemy that plays by no rules and dons no uniform, but consider:
--not only did nearly 25,000 Americans die in one-day battles in other wars, and more died (over 4,000) due to a tactical error by FDR at Normadie than have in this war, but think about a mid 20s Iraq veteran (female from Kentucky) whose JROTC group I gave a tour to last week, telling me about her two tours in Iraq: In 2005, it was “bad” as in 11 heroes from her squad were killed in the first three months; the second time back, in 2007, NONE died. That is remarkable. Aside from credit to our military leaders, President Bush, VP Cheney, General Patreaus, and our next president, John McCain, deserve praise. Meanwhile, Pelosi, Obama, Hillary, Dirty Harry, Murtha, Kennedy et al say “we have failed” or worse. Quite the Americans they are.

When the 4,000th brave man dies in Iraq early next week, anti-american groups here will not condemn the Islamic Nazis but rather America, our military leaders and our president...under the faux guise of candlelight “peace” vigils and violent hate-fest towards our great nation that they thrive under. It’s sickening. They need to read history. They won’t. Nor will they acknowledge what even the media (but not Democrat politicians) cannot help but do: that we are winning big time in Iraq. Always have been too. The media has ignored the war for months now because we have been winning and good news is, of course, NOT news.
