Editorial: Obama The One Trick Pony
by The Editor (9/11/09)
Barack “Doublespeak” Obama(BDO) has pretty much lost all credibility with all except elitist Progressives and clueless/mindless worshipers.
BDO was a a political fabrication, I grant that the premise was valid and obviously worked since BDO managed to become President of The United States.
A minor issue is that BDO obviously is a victim of the “Peter Principle”. ("Every Employee/[Individual] Tends to Rise to His Level of Incompetence"). In plain English many individuals for one reason or another get promotions to positions that they are incapable of handling. Sometimes that happens because of well meaning intentions, an exceptional Engineer can be promoted to being a manager and totally fail because of no concept of how to be a manager and thus is soon fired for the resulting failure.
Often there is sever pressure for the target individual to accept the promotion despite their knowledge that they can’t do the job, sometimes it becomes accept it or lose your job. In other instances it is accepted because of personal arrogance.
BDO made a couple of speeches that caught the attention of political hacks and political mush-minds, the result was the 2008 rush to elect BDO to be President of the USA.
Guess what, BDO carried the day and was then left trying to figure out what to do with the office. A gaggle of advisers and puppet masters came to save the day.
Such “Peter Principle"(PP) Presidents of any political persuasion have a rather limited political lifetime. The BS soon becomes obvious even to the most naive American. General disdain and rejection soon becomes the practical exercise.
BDO is not the only PP president in recent times, Carter and Nixon both were excellent examples. Carter was clueless and Nixon after all of his trials and tribulations got the office and frankly couldn’t handle it.
